With this I got inspired by having tokens in my game. And bonus features as the Question marked spaces where by the, dependin on luck, the player either is able to receive an amount of tokens or pay an amount of tokens to the bank. Therefore I decided to do a game based on using a game board
02] The movie title "Cars" by Pixar Productions. I am a person who loves racing and am willing to go all out for racing. After seeing the pictures, I was mesmerised by the amount of lighting that were used when the main character "Lighting McQueen" was used. It was indeed colourful. Adding to that, before the final race, The main character, being a car would go through modifications. And when comes to cars, filling up of petrol and breaking down of the car is inevitable.
I was then inspired to do a game of a racing concept. A game whereby players pay an amount of tokens to modify their vehicles. And use mini toy cars as thier moving game pieces. In this case, I was not able to use mini toy cars but instead I substituted them with four different colours of fast moving animal pieces which are small in size so that they could fit in into each space of the gameboard. Adding to that, to show the usage of lights during a race, I added in multi coloured lights at each corner of the game board and to the centre of the game board. This is to give the players a feel of being on a raching track.
03] My third inspiration is cludo. Cludo is a game whereby players are to find out a murder among the given characters, which weapon was and location was used among the given weapons and locations. Players can ask questions to other players so that they can breakdown the options to find the murderer, weapon and location used. To aid them in this process, the playes are given a scoresheet to tick the options that were not used.
I used the concept of the score sheet for the players to mark down the modifications made and to take down the number of times players gain and lose an advantage when entered the question maked space. And an additional cloumn for players to keep track of the total amount of tokens left.
